Excel Titles
When you open the exported Excel file, you'll see these columns. Here’s what each one means:
| Title | Description |
|---|---|
| Product Title | For your reference only. Shows which product this row belongs to. Optional. Changing this will not change anything in your online store. |
| Image Url | For your reference only. Shows the current online image URL or a thumbnail from Excel macros. Optional. Changing this will not change anything in your online store. |
| Image AltText | Optional. Edit this text to change the image alt text in your store. This can help with SEO and accessibility. |
| Image File Name | Optional short name for an existing image file (without .jpg or .png). Use letters, numbers, - and _ only. This column only works when you update an existing image. For new images, Bulk Image Editor & Optimizer will keep the original file name automatically. Leave this column empty when you add new images. |
| Image Position | Optional. Change the number to reorder images. Use 1 for the first image, 2 for the second, and so on. Leave blank for new images; they will be placed last. |
| Variants | Optional. Shows which variants use this image. Editing this will change which variants the image belongs to in your store. One image can belong to multiple variants. |
| Action | Required. Tells Bulk Image Editor & Optimizer what to do with this row: A (Add a new image), D (Delete an image), U (Update an existing image). This is the most important column. |
| New Image Path | Required for Add and Update. The path or URL to the new image. Supports web URLs, relative paths, zip files, or Dropbox links. |
| Product ID | Do not edit. Bulk Image Editor & Optimizer uses this to find the right product. When you add new images, make sure this value is copied correctly. |
| Image ID | Do not edit. Bulk Image Editor & Optimizer uses this to find the right image when deleting or updating. |
